Flydubai Co-Pilot Allegedly Radicalized in Syria

New details have emerged about the background of the Omani co-pilot accused of attacking the captain on Flydubai’s Dubai–Tel Aviv flight. According to Al Arabiya, the co-pilot spent a significant amount of time in Syria before moving to the UAE and was allegedly radicalized there.

The co-pilot had reportedly previously been barred from flying in Oman over concerns about his radical views before later joining Flydubai. Details surrounding his alleged radicalization in Syria have not yet been officially confirmed as the investigation continues.
